OGDEN – David Ernest Perkins passed away December 14, 2011. David was born July 15, 1947 to David Ernest Perkins and Joyce Evelyn Steele in Ogden, Utah. David married Cathy Wilson on April 9, 1966. They were married 45 years.
David graduated from Ben Lomand High School. He loved hunting, fishing and culinary arts. He had a green thumb when it came to gardening. David also had a passion for music. He would buy old radios and fix them. He attended The Trinity Presbyterian Church. David was proud to be an American and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He served with pride and distinction and always honored all who served in the military.
David is survived by his wife Cathy and two sons: Scott Perkins of Ogden and Mike (Calee) Perkins of Magna. David considered Calee his daughter; Vyktoria, her Papa's only granddaughter; brother, Randy Perkins of Ogden; his sister, Jan (Ed) Strickland of Reno, Nevada; his nephews, Brett and Zackary, and niece, Marty.
David is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Karen.
Funeral services were held at Myers Mortuary Thursday December 22, 2011. A viewing was held at Myers Mortuary on Wednesday evening and Thursday prior to the service.
