On Tuesday, September 11, 2007,
Billy joined his Angel, Kelly, for eternity. Billy was born March 5,
1947 to Leora K. and Marlin E. Hocking, in Pocatello, Idaho.
He grew up in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in
1965. Bill joined the U.S. Army and served in the Medical Corps. He
began a career with the U.S. Post Office where he retired.
Billy was truly a child of God and recently celebrated 20 years of
sobriety (C.A. & A.A.). He was known for his giving spirit and service
to P.J.’s Forgotten Children and other community organizations.
On April 1, 1995 Billy married the love of his life, Kelly Rae Vance.
Preceded in death by his wife; Kelly, mother and father. He is survived
by sisters; Linda (Kent) Horspool, Kellie Reed, 1 niece, 2 nephews and
13 grand nieces and nephews.
Billy’s family wants to acknowledge the loving care and friendship that
Stephanie and Terry and many other friends shared through the years with
Billy.
In lieu of flowers, Billy would want you to donate to a charity of your
choice.
A celebration of Billy’s life will be held Saturday, September 15, 2007
from 1:30 – 5:00 at Fellowship Foundation, 2060 South Windsor (840 East)
in Salt Lake.
